On first preview this email looks like an actual email from the United States Government. They had done their homework, it was sent 3 days after the final tax deadline.

email Scams – I’m Going to be a Millionaire

I’m going to get $17,500,00 that’s seventeen million five hundred thousand dollars

I gather from the email that I had a rich relative that died.
Is this one of the current email scams or is it for real?

You have heard all the horror stories about Craigslist. Before Craigslist there were scams and frauds using email, newspaper classified ads, and just about any other thing people use on any consistent basis. The Nigerian Scam is the first to come to mind and how about the Yahoo Christmas scam. As long as there is communication there will be scams and thieves. Email scams, internet scams and scams of all kinds are, sorry to say, here to stay.
