I joined April 20th 2007 and my network today is more than 22,400! David Black, the business professional who invited me to join describes Linkedin as MySpace for business professionals. Linked in is a great venue for social business networking. David is actually responsible for creating a Linkedin face to face networking event code named “Summer Soiree” which will be held here in the pacific northwest.
I have joined many business networking groups in my lifetime and Linkedin is one of the best I have ever been associated with. Not only is it free but there are many benefits associated with your Linkedin account.
- post your and your business profile
- organize and have easy access to your contacts
- ask questions of your group with one email
- answer questions posted network wide and become an expert
- get recommendations
- receive job offers
- post job openings
- search for colleagues and/or classmates
- use Linkedin for SEO for your website and/or blog
