Google Sucks
I will be part of the SAO Corvallis SEM Hot Seat panel this Thursday, Nov 8, at the new Iovino’s Restaurant (in Renaissance on the Riverfront) in Corvallis.
I was trying to do my homework and look up what pages Google had for one of the sites. Using the “site:sitename.com” search and BOOM! Google drops a bomb on me.

An Exhaustive List of Search Engine Based Keyword Research Data
Google -Yahoo – MSN – the search engine dance?
As a follow up to a blog post and discussion Scott Hendison and I had a few days back I am posting some more research information I have discovered. This all started with a post by Scott “Is Yahoo Selling Out“. I found something I thought was very interesting.

What bothered me was:
Can you buy a #1 organic listing in Google?
In response to Scott Hendison‘s blog post “Is Yahoo Selling Out”. Scott talks about how Yahoo removes the tinted box and leaving out the words “sponsored” for the search “special k”. They are also listed organically at #1. The listing actually has the URL “specialk.com“. Now yahoo is giving the paid search results in a way that it isn’t real evident that it is paid results but It appears to me Special K did actually earn the #1 organic listing.
