Day 2 at WebVisions Portland Oregon – Thinking the Unthinkable – Webvisionary Awards

Brad gave us a rousing opening for today’s WebVision festivities.
This mornings keynote was sponsored by Portland State University’s Multimedia Professional Program.

Jennifer Portis introduced Luke Williams.

“Thinking the Unthinkable: How to Spark Disruptive Innovation”
Luke gave us a very interesting visual media filled presentation to a large crowd.
Luke is a leading consultant, speaker, and educator in the area of innovation strategy and disruptive thinking. For more than a decade, he has worked internationally with industry leaders like Microsoft, American Express, Sony, Virgin, Disney, and Hewlett-Packard, to develop new products, services, brands, and business models.
Williams is a Fellow at frog design—one of the most influential innovation companies in the world—and an Adjunct Professor of innovation at NYU Stern School of Business.
The evening event for today is the Webvisionary Awards Show
The Webvisionary Awards honors the most visionary, daring, and curious talent on the web by awarding them with a miniature robot. Andrew Dickson is returning as the MC, DJs Rev Shines and Ronin Roc will supply the beat, and Chad the Robot will prove that he’s a dancin’ machine.
Presentation Karaoke will kick it all off. Sponsored by VTech, WebTrends, 52 Ltd and WebVisions. Held at Someday Lounge – 125 NW 5th Ave., Portland.
Well it’s back to the sessions for me at this time.
Late,
