SEO Tools of the Trade for Firefox Web Browsers – SeoQuake
Next installment in the Firefox Browser plugin “SEO Tools of the Trade” series is SeoQuake. it is a nice little plugin/toolbar that will give you a quick view into the inner workings of a site.
SeoQuake gives you the tools for the insight to be able to determine why a web site is either doing well or not doing so well in the search engines. SeoQuake comes as both a toolbar and as a status bar icon. You can also access all the power of SeoQuake with a right click.
SeoQuake is a programme, which allows user to view a large number of SE parameters on the fly. SeoQuake for Mozilla Firefox consists of three functional parts: SeoToolbar (requested parameters are shown in a separate toolbar in the browser), Seobar (requested parameters are shown in a separate, fully customizable with CSS, HTML block) and output of requested parameters on Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs). ATTENTION! Frequent use of big amount of parameters may lead to the ban from SE. In this case, you will need to delete cookies and change proxy server.
From the above statement from SeoQuake you can see it is possible to abuse it.
(Post from Search Engine Optimizician.)
I use SeoQuake as a right click option most often even though I do have it installed as a status bar icon. I don’t use the toolbar just because of a real estate issue.

I will go over just some of the SeoQuake tools I use in my SEO world.
You can get quick site info on either a site you plan on working on, are already working on, or even considering the link value. SeoQuake will give you plenty of information.

As I referred to earlier I use the “right click” method almost exclusively.
One of my most used tools is keyword density. Keyword density not only gives you Url, Title, Meta keywords, Meta description, it also gives you an in depth look at the keyword density of an individual page. I use this function quite often to help explain to potential clients why their pages are having trouble with their search engine rankings.
In addition SeoQuake Keyword density shows you the total number of words on the page, what the keywords are according to their popularity with their repetition, whether these keywords are found in the title, meta keywords, or description, how many times the particular keyword is repeated, what the density factor for the keyword is relating to the number of words on the page… You can even load Google keyword data and get search volume numbers. This is repeated for one, two, three, and four keyword phrases. The original text is even included at the bottom of the page. For quick impressions of the keyword density there is even a keywords cloud.
SeoQuake is a very powerful tool. I haven’t, as yet, explored all the features it has to offer.
Do you use SeoQuake?
I would love to hear how you are using it.
I have so many other Firefox tools/plugins that I use on a daily basis I just don’t have the time to investigate all the virtues of SeoQuake. We will discuss the “other” Firefox tools and plugins at another time.
Late,
Gary Pool
