The iDon’t Answer – droid – Google, Verizon Wireless, and Motorola

Google, Verizon Wireless, and Motorola have Collaborated on a Winning Combination, droid the iDon’t Answer
I was watching the San Diego Charger game last night (if you can call that a game)
when an ad came on that sent me to my computer. Now that is what I call marketing, an ad that takes me away from my beloved Chargers. The ad was for the droid. I have enclosed the short commercial near the bottom of the post for your viewing.
The theme of the ad, iDon’t, was a very effective long completion in the end zone against Apple’s iPhone.

The droid is a triple collaboration that includes Motorola, Verizon and Google. It looks a lot like the iPhone, and might possibly be as thin or thinner than the iPhone 3GS. It also has three major advantages over the iPhone; a slide out physical keyboard, it is not controlled by AT&T, and it is available from Verizon Wireless.

I haven’t seen any official pictures of the droid, or anything else “officially” droid related other than a November release date (from July), but the folks over at Boy Genius Report did somehow manage to get a hands-on chance with the droid (see the modified picture below).

The Droid is an Android phone made by Motorola which will run on Verizon’s network. Rumored specs include a powerful OMAP3430 processor, 5 megapixel camera, slideout QWERTY keyboard and touch screen, all housed in a super-compact package and running Android 2.0.
It looks lot like a NOKIA 810.

I think want one!
