Last Night – SMX Advanced – Microsoft’s new entry into the search field Bing sponsored In The Park Bash

Last night at SMX Advanced Seattle there was quite a party held “against the beautiful backdrop of the Olympic Sculpture Park and the Puget Sound.”

This turned out to be quite an event with live entertainment, outstanding hors doeuvres, pulsating music from a DJ team, and beverages of all varieties, some even with flashing plastic ice cubes. I’m sure a great time was had by all.

The sponsor was Bing.com Microsoft’s latest entry into the search field. Their battle cry is “search is sick” and their answer is of course Bing who in their own words, “Bing is a search engine that finds and organizes the answers you need so you can make faster, more informed decisions.”

According to Microsoft Bing a decision engine instead of a search engine. Will it unseat Google as the search king? I don’t think anyone but Google themselves can accomplish that task.

Bing does look like it will be fun to investigate.
