These are the StumbleUpon essentials from the perspective of the user. What is more important is the way you can leverage StumbleUpon to send traffic to your website.
StumbleUpon and Internet Marketing
StumbleUpon is comprised of a database of web pages, images, videos and other content, all submitted by users. When StumbleUpon users hit the Stumble button, they are served a relevant page from the SU database. The point to take note of here is that a page only gets into the database because it has been submitted by a StumbleUpon user.

When a new page, image, or video is submitted to the StumbleUpon database it is given a little bit of initial exposure and from that point on it is all left up to the users. As the page, image, or video is shown to StumbleUpon users those who like it will click the thumbs up button and StumbleUpon sends it to some more people.
If you to get traffic from StumbleUpon your pages, images, or videos need to be in the SU database. You’ll need to make sure that the entry is going to appeal to StumbleUpon users because without thumbs up votes no real traffic will be generated.

Actually there are many intricacies to be noticed in StumbleUpon. Just submitting your page and hoping for the best will get you nowhere. You need to start by downloading and installing the StumbleUpon Toolbar. The tool bar is available for both Internet Explorer and Firefox. Next you will want to join StumbleUpon and start using it your self. Learn what it is all about. Read some of the Stumble reviews. Stumble some pages, images, and/or videos and write your own reviews.
Once you get the hang of StumbleUpon you will have another avenue for your internet marketing efforts.
