Write your press release in the same style as a news article or something that is going to be read for entertainment. A dull press release containing only facts and figures is not going to make interesting reading and will not create any buzz like a creative, entertaining press release would.
  3. When writing your press release don’t constantly mention your URL or website name. Most press releases will have a contact area for media and that area for you to provide the relevant domain name. Mentioning the website domain name by providing the full URL once in the body of the press release is acceptable. Having the domain name present in the press release anymore than once will make the press release seem like a way to get free promotion and will be ignored by the people you want to read the press release.
  4. Don’t stuff your press release with keywords or sales jargon. Remember, a press release is not supposed to be a sales pitch. A press release is designed to encourage journalists to develop articles on a subject.
