Microsoft Tries to Charge My Inactive adCenter Account

Posted • February 6, 2008 • Comments Off

Today I got an email from Micro$oft that was extremely irritating.

You can’t even reply to it.

You have to go through the support on their website!

Dear adCenter customer,
We’re writing to let you know that we were unable to authorize or charge your MasterCard credit card, with the last four digits of XXXX, that you used when you signed up for Microsoft adCenter.

Back on January 31st I received an email from PayPal stating “Your bank declined your electronic funds transfer”. Luckily we were in the process of modifying our bank account.

I was wondering what was going on.

Now I know.

My adCenter account has been inactive for about a year and they tried to ding my card. Is this how they are going to pay for Yahoo!?

If you have ever had an adCenter account that is now inactive make sure M$ doesn’t try to gouge you.

late,
gary pool
